My 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Big Block LS5. This is a real "W" code big block car. Undertook a 2 year frame off
restoration completed in 2010 which included every nut and bolt on the vehicle, Engine is NOT numbers matching, it
is a replacement motor that was in the car when I bought it with Block Casting #3999289 which is a 72-73 454 Block,
Engine VIN is partial T0120TRH.
Heads are original C2872 casting date which is March 28, 1972.
Transmission is P1T30C and is original to the car.
Transmission is very tight and shifts very smoothly, has Hurst shifter in it.
M22 “Rock Crusher” close ratio. Muncie 4 speed heavy duty aluminum case.
Engine was rebuilt and was already bored .60 over so it now bored .70 over making this a 469 CI engine. Cam was
also upgraded during the rebuild, this is a very powerful engine.
The car has deluxe interior, factory air, power brakes, power steering. Every option available other than
tilt/tele steering column and power windows.
Upgraded Edelbrock Torker II manifold and Edelbrock carb, HEI distributor with MSD ignition. White face gauge
appliques, LED taillights. Otherwise the vehicle is stock. (I have the original manifold which goes with the car).
Vehicle is refinished in Ontario Orange, Only 3500 miles since completed. Vehicle runs perfectly, everything
works. It is a 10 year old restoration and has been driven, so there are a few small chips behind the rear tires,
there is a small crack where the right rear bumper bolt goes through the fiberglass body to hold the bumper on and
there are some very small paint bubbles on the rear spoiler area.
